Editorial policy

Our editorial approach

Every article is written or reviewed by a member of our technical team — an agronomist, an engineer, or a data scientist working on the platform daily. We write about what we have built, measured, and learned, not hypothetical futures.

Where we cite research, we link to the source. Where we share numbers, they come from our own farms unless stated otherwise.

CEA — Controlled Environment Agriculture; growing crops in enclosed, managed conditions.
PPFD — Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density; useful light reaching the canopy.
Hydroponics — Growing plants in nutrient-rich water without soil.
Aeroponics — Roots suspended in air, misted with nutrients.
Recirculating system — Water-and-nutrient loop reusing what plants don't take up.
EC / pH — Nutrient strength and acidity; the two dials governing uptake.
